Method
- 1
First off, we're starting with our Bramley apple. Peel it, cut it in half. And slice your apple pieces. Place it in a pot with a generous pinch of brown sugar, and a splash of water. Put it on a low heat.
- 2
Now onto the crumble. Add your plain flour, brown sugar, cold butter from the fridge… into a bowl and start pinching the butter and flour together
- 3
Keep going until you've got a nice crumbly texture. Almost like a wet sand texture. You don't want to mix it into a dough, we're looking for those little crumbs.
- 4
Check on your apple sauce and optionally add a pinch of cinnamon if you have it. Turn it off when the slices are soft but not mushy.
- 5
Get apples into your oven dish. And add the crumble over the top. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top of the crumble and then get it into the oven at 180C for around 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- 6
Take it out, let it sit for a minute, then get a little drizzle of double cream over the top.

Enjoy!!!
