Short, because the site is simple and pretending otherwise helps nobody.
Dietary filtering is not a guarantee
This is the important one. When you tell us you cannot eat something, we work out what each recipe contains from its ingredients and keep anything that clashes out of your week. That is a genuine filter and we have tested it hard.
It is still not a clearance. We have never seen the packet in your hand, so we cannot see may-contain warnings, differences between brands, or a product that was reformulated last month. Prices are estimates
Every price is a shelf price read by hand on a particular day, not a live feed, and a few are marked as not yet checked wherever they appear. Food prices move and shops differ. Use these to compare one meal against another, not to predict your receipt. Where the prices come from.
We are not affiliated with Aldi or any other supermarket, and nobody pays us to be listed.
Cooking safely is on you
Recipes assume you will cook food through, keep raw meat away from everything else, and not eat something that has been in the fridge for a fortnight. Times and temperatures are guidance; ovens differ and so do pans.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself, and use one you have not used elsewhere. You can delete your account whenever you like and we will delete what is attached to it. We can close an account that is being used to attack the site or abuse other people.
The site itself
MenUni is provided as it is, free, with no promise that it will be available, correct, or still here next year. Recipes, text and data are ours; you are welcome to cook from them, screenshot them and send them to your flatmates, but not to republish the collection as your own.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under UK law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
