Method
- 1
Splash of oil into a pan on a medium-high heat, then in with the beef mince. Break it up with your spatula and let it get some colour.
- 2
Once the mince has browned, add the diced onion and give it a mix.
- 3
Add the garlic, oregano, Italian herbs, salt, pepper and a cheeky bit of MSG. Mix it well and let everything cook together for a couple of minutes.
- 4
Add the chopped tomatoes and a little tomato purée. Big stir, turn the heat down, and let it simmer. The longer you leave it, the better it is going to taste.
- 5
Add the spaghetti to a big pot of salted boiling water and stir it so it does not stick together.
- 6
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it but save a little of that pasta water.
- 7
Tip the spaghetti straight into the bolognese and give it a big mix. If it looks a little dry, add a splash of the pasta water.
- 8
Plate it up, and grate some cheese over if you are feeling fancy.
